Hijab Awarness day

I have had a change of heart towards st.cloud mostly thanks to my friend Kristina, St.cloud is full of kind open minded people ..and sadly i let a few closed minded people cloud my vision of everyone else
we had Hijab Awareness day and i was flabbergasted my the shear amount of people who showed up and participated
thank you st.cloud students

childhood demons

the lost boys and girls...(trapped in neverland)

I guess childhood demons never die

They just weigh down on your soul for so long

That you start to no longer feel their weight

Except when you stumble and fall

After trying to fly

I guess young tears never dry

but merge into your very being

Your face becomes unrecognizable without their marks

And one day someone tries to dry their stains

And you slap their hand away

I guess wounds in young flesh never heal

Only infect, fill with green bitter pus

Ooze out anger and mistrust

And one day become gangrenous

And the doctor recommends amputation of the heart

I guess childhood screams never die down

But become part of the background sound

And you come to fear silence

And one day when silence comes

So strange so unaccustomed that YOU start to scream

I know childhood never ends

We just become older versions of our scared wounded selves

Fumbling through a cruel world

Praying hoping we will one day grow up

And make sense of it all..

thoughts after MSA meeting

I am so tired...
if all groups like the MSA do is argue whats the point?
I just want o say one thing... If you truly believe in your cause you will stop arguing and start working.
If you just want to prove that you are right and everyone else is wrong you will stop working and start arguing
simple as that

rose domes

I took a picture of a rose dome...

Damascus has hundreds of rose domes

which go back to the 13th 14th and 15th century

Between 250–1517 the mamluks who were slave soldiers from central Asia

took over Syria and Egypt

during this period they built many shrines

which are buildings over the tombs of important saints

and at times rulers

and these buildings were in the shape of domes

which were rose in color
